Another ''Any Occasion'' Card*

I was flitting through challenges and came across the new challenge over at Indigoblu which the theme is ''FLUTTERBY''.  I recently purchased their butterfly stamp and it is perfect for the current challenge.

I cut some small pieces of cardstock and used brusho for the backgrounds. I used white pen for random dots on wings.- I stamped the butterfly onto all four pieces, and then water brushed the actual butterflies to make them solid enough to stand out.  and were then mounted onto red cardstock.  I removed a small section on each side to keep the ribbon in place.  I made a small bow for the centre.  I tend to make cards with no sentiment and add them as and when they are selected for occasions/people.That's it folks - easy peasy!

New challenge at Anything but a Card *

Another month, another challenge over at Anthing but a Card and the theme this month is ''Out and about, Celebrate Nature'' so that is just what I have done.  Basically I just filled two pages of my art journal.  I used Pan Pastels for the background.  For the sky I used modelling paste, smooth and textured, randomly covered in blue, grey and white pan pastels. I then used a pearl liquid acrylic paint over the top.

I then stamped grasses, a fence and a couple of tiny butterflies.  I cut out a large butterfly from a napkin and mod podged it on the left hand side and the plain transparent backing from the cut out napkin on the right.  I used various pearl paint over the transparent butterfly.  I used alot of nature inspired words and randomly put them to paper.  I stencilled some dandelions and used black charcoal pencil around the petals.

That's it - finito!  Now for the pics

Why not head on over to Anything but a Card and join in with our challenge.  We would love to see you over there.

Playing with my new stamp.*

Hi all - this morning I have played with my new stamp from Indigoblu.  I basically colored it using my copics and my polychromos, cut around it and placed it on a  piece of navy blue card.  I then stamped a couple of Visible Image butterflies for an overlay.  No sentiment was used as it will be a last minute occasion card for my stash.

Now for the pics

Shabby Chic or what! *

After a trip to a couple of charity shops today I managed to get myself yet another dress form.  When I got home I was determined to actually alter one rather than accumulate them lol.

So shabby chic it was to be.... well loads of lace and feathers layered up and a few flowers trailing down from the neck to the bust.  I made the hat using petals that are used for weddings etc.  I have used a lot of old stash that needed using and found a lot of trims I had forgotten about lol. I am sure this is the case with most if not all of you.  Well some of mine found a use today.

Now for the pics and apologies for so many

Thank you for dropping in today and hope to see you again real soon

Fathers day card - *

Tonight I am sharing with you my fathers day card - yes made well ahead of time just got to make sure I remember where I stash it lol.  Am I the only one that loses things that are right in front of your nose lol.

I used 3 paper designs matted onto to black card.  I stamped the bicycle image from the transport set and matted it onto the same cardstock.  I used my word thingymajiggy for the sentiment and that too matted onto the same cardstock. I swiped grey ink over both the imagey and wording.

That's it all done - now for the pics

Bird Crazy again *

For this card I used one of my fave stamp sets - Crazy Birds.  I know it appears to be nothing but cards recently but I am on a mission to get my card stash rebuilt and to be honest enjoying doing so.

For this one I used 3 of the birds, colored them using copics and fussy cut them.   I used DI for the background.  I stamped the images again directly onto the cardstock so to enable the poor birdies are reunited with their quiffs and legs.  They were not in too much pain so please please do not phone the RSPCA.  I cut out a hat shape (all by myself with out the use of electronic machinery lol) and colored using copics.  I thumbed an old dictionary for the word bold and cut and stuck to the hat and covered it using glossy accents. Damn the words are small lol.  I used glossy accents for their eyes.  I like to think of them being mini magnifying glasses lol Now for the pics.....

Thank you for popping in and hope to see you all real soon

Butterfly butterfly fly away butterfly *

Another Visible Image INKognito but this time the butterfly....

For some reason or another this one just would not go to plan without real persuasion - perhaps I was too tired but was determined.

I used distress inks for the background, used adirondack for the butterfly.  I stamped the flower stamp around the edges using orange adirondack. I then matted using red cardstock and attached a ribbon and bow.  Not easy peasy lemon squeezy this one but will put down to my lack of energy lol.

That's it and thank you for dropping by

Inkcognito indeed *

Today I have another card to share with you all.  You may have noticed there are more cards bursting out from within me and the reason being I need some in my stash for those last minute moments when one is needed.

I received my stamps from Visible Image today and they are lush - love them.  For this card I used Flower INKognito , script stamp (was stamped onto the already inked flower stamp before laying it down on the card) adirondack inks and distress inks, ribbon and handtied bow.  All done and dusted - how simple was that - brilliant and instantaneous gratification lol.

Thank you for popping and hope to see you all again real soon

June challenge over at The Mirror Crack'd *

Nearly half way through the year and just don't know where the time has gone to.  The theme this month is to create a Shadow Box.  I had this one hanging about my room and it had dividers in it but for a change decided to discard them.

I used some beautiful peacock themed papers from Craftwork cards. I have so much paper I just need to get on and use it instead of buying it lol.  I also did quite a bit of fussy cutting and layering to give the scene alot of depth.  I covered each piece with pod podge to give a little shine to make it more interesting.  I can't say this is my usual kind of crafting but felt I needed to get on with some clean crafting for a change.  Now for the pics and sorry for overload

I do hope you liked it. Why not head on over to The Mirror Crack'd and join in with this onth fun challenge.  Look forward to seeing you there

Sarcastic block. *

Now for a really simple easy peasy lemon squeezy project for today.

I have off from work for past 5 weeks and am due to go back in 2 weeks and the way I feel about a lot of people there provokes many statements within me but would get into trouble for saying out loud.  So to solve my dilemma I have come up with a sarcastic block to place on my desk.  Others will think it is an amusing novelty whereas I know the truth behind it lol

I started out with a plain pine block that should have been destined for something real pretty but unfortunately it fell into my hands and wasn't to be.  I didn't want a busy background behind the sarcasm so thinking cap on and I soon remembered I bought loads of cordination card about 3 years ago when one of my obsessions to won it all took hold.  I soon forgot I had it lurking in one of my drawers and decided to break it out of its murky surroundings lol.

I cut it to size, stamped the statements by Dylusions onto the smooth side of the cardstock,  distressed it using a craft knife, wiped black soot around the edges and randomly over the top lightly, screwed them up a little (bit like what my head feels like alot of the time lol) and finally spritzed them with water.  I wiped black soot round the edges of the block, stuck on the statements and sealed it all with modpodge.

That is it all done and how easy was that -and as the meerkhat says SIMPLES!

Now for the pics

Just had to do another one*

These are my fave stamps at the moment - well matching to my Dylusion sentiments is real fun.  I had forgotten how making a card gives quicker satisfaction.

Again the birds were colored using copics and fussy cut and  background distress inks as was the splatter.

Here are the pics

Hope you enjoyed your visit and do call again
