Guest Designer over at Crafting By Designs .. F

Yayy I was picked as a guest designer over at Crafting by Designs as one of my cards was picked as a DT favorite.  The challenge theme is Under the weather/Get Well.  I decided to interpret the Under the weather completely different to being unwell.

I had just bought a couple of new stamp sets from Art Journey, Umbrella girl and raindrops so I thought it perfect for the theme and look great on my tag..

I used pan pastels for the background and then stamped grass at the bottom using TH forest moss.  I then stamped umbrella girl, raindrops and umbrella man from a TH collection I own.  I then used glossy accents for the rain drops.

Now for the pics and I hope you enjoy them.

Why not head on over to Crafting by Designs and join in with the fun.

New Challenge over at ABAC - F

((This project was inspired by Jennings644 and CreaBoetiek over on You Tube))

This month the challenge over at Anything but a Card is 'New Beginnings', there are so many interpretations of this theme.  I chose 'New Home'.

I used tissue for the background on my 12x18 canvas, I then painted and sprayed until I achieved the desired effect.

I cut shapes of houses freehand as it didn't need to be perfect - in fact quite the opposite.  I painted, used modelling paste, lace, stamps, ribbon, playing cards, inks - the list goes on lol - used quite alot of bits and pieces from my scraps.I used 2 different types of moss for the grass and trees.  The big post house with gilding flakes on the roof had the coloured (used dylusion sprays on it) fresh moss as grass and trees in the garden and the old unloved buildings had dried dead looking moss.
Sorry for overload on pics - couldn make up mind on what looked best lol.

I do hope you have enjoyed your visit today.  Why not head on over to Anything but a Card and join in with the fun.  We would like to see you there.

Just a simple project ...F

I have been real busy with stuff so not much time crafting but this afternoon I decided I would get in there and alter something.

I altered a coffee mate tin and turned into a pot for my rulers, brushes and such like.

Once upon a time .........I painted the tin a bluey green.  I used a paper napkin and mod podge to stick it down.  I then used glossy accents over the flowers, butterfly and Eiffel tower. ( Pictures are not showing it up all that well so am sorry about that although the butterfly looks good) White acrylic paint wiped lightly at top and bottom of tin to give an aged effect. . I then wiped turquoise inka gold around the rim of tin.

THE END (lol)

I hope you enjoyed your visit and hope to see you again real soon.
