Christmas Card

Hello all

It is time for ther Pink Teams second challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu.  The fabulous NanaConnie is hosting this challenge and her choice for this weeks theme is

I thought I best get started on my Christmas cards so here is the first one this year lol.  I used an image from the net (sorry cannot remember where from!) I screwed the image and papers up several times and run distress ink over the top to make them look more creased and old. I also distressed the edges with Vintage photo ink to finish them off.  I then used Rock Candy over the image to give it some depth.  The papers are from my stash which is good as it saved my printer ink lol.  The three embellishments were silver snowflakes smothered in distress crackle paint, again Vintage photo with a sprinkling of glamour dust on top.  The sentiment I run up in word.  Not too much to write about this but hey that is okay as it saves your eyesight.

Yet another Xmas prezzie......

Good evening everyone.  I have been in my craft room the best part of the day making up another Xmas prezzie. I am unsure as to who will recieve it but at least it will be another one off of my ever growing list lol.

I bought an old balsa wood chocolate box yesterday from a charity shop for fifty pence.  I used brown acrylic painr, crackle medium and cream acrylic for the basis of the box.  I used wooden beads from my stash for the feet.  Pleased how they worked with the box.  I then painstakingly adhered individual pearls over the top of the box.  Yes I said individual.. no strings of pearls in this lady's stash... unfortunately!  The centre piece came from an old bracelet I found in another charity shop.  I used glossy accents all over the box to give it a sheen.

Well thats quite a short description for a lot of hours crafting lol.

Well that's it from me for tonight.  i am a little crafted out and I need to check whether my challenge blog has been scheduled for the correct time lol....

Am overwhelmed

Had a really long day that started at 3am this morning when I could not get back to sleep so arrived at the office at 6am to start work. Finished work at 3pm and then had to go pay for and pick up 2 cots and mattresses bedding etc etc.  After getting it crammed into the back of my car I had to drive 25 miles to my daughter to get them unloaded by her partner and his friend.  I then made the 30 mile trek home and fell in the door at 7pm.  I trod on my post coming through the door and there it was .. something that made me feel warm and fuzzy with a smile on my face.  I have received a beautiful card from Andria.. one of my Eclectic girlies.  Thank you so much and hope you don't mind me showing blogland.  It has pride of place in my craftroom and will serve as inspiration for a long time to come.

Why not pop on over and visit Andria's blog and leave her some love... such a wonderful lady.

Just a quickie tonight!

Hi everyone

I felt earlier that I had lost my mojo and could not for the life of me to get motivated and did not know what to do.  So I thought safe - TAG!

I used my TH stamps, distress ink pads, black embossing powder for the resistance.  I cut the first tag and co joined another half of tag and joined them all using chain.  To give it some weight I attached 4 charms to chain at the bottom.  This will be used as a wall hanging... somewhere lol.

Here goes overload.......

Anyway thats it for me as need bed!

Mimi Halloween - Stamp Fairy

Hi all

It is that time again for the start of a new challenge over at Creative Card Crew and the theme this time is FANCY FOLDS.  We are being sponsored by Stamp Fairy who has generously given the winner of this challenge a gift certificate for $10.

We were given images to work with for this challenge and I chose to work with MIMI Halloween.  She is cute right.  I deliberated for an absolute age as to what to do this time.  I decided to just place her on the background of flames.  She is actually surrounded by flames LOL.  I couloured her up using first my copics and then highlighting with my prisma pencils.  I used Tim Holtz Alphabet die for the sentiment.

Well that was short and sweet huh LOL!

Now for the pics!

Now that I have tempted you with first the fire and secondly the enthusiasm, why don't you just get on over to CCC and join in on the fun.  You have to be innit to winnit!

Inspired by Nature

Its that time again over at Paper ala Mode, Outlawz.  The theme for this week is to be ''Inspired by Nature''.  I knew exactly what I was going to do as soon as I saw the intended theme.  I had bought some stamps from Indigoblu a while back and have used a couple of them before however only yesterday I bought a set of Tim Holtz and he was a cute lil birdie on a branch so I decided to merge them together to create a scene on a tag.  I clear embossed the stamps and then cover with various Distress Inks.  I then sprayed with water, heat dried and then sprayed a little copper over the top to give it a lil glitz.

That was easy to describe... must make more tags lol.....

Hope you like it ;-))

So why don't you pop in over at the Outlawz and join in on the challenges.. you never know you may enjoy yourself.......

Tin Foil Box

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy! WE ARE LIVE!!!

Here is my first ever challenge over at ECLECTIC ELLAPU, my very own challenge blog. The first challenge is ANYTHING GOES and it would be great if you could pop on over there and share your creations with us.  Originally the challenges were going to be fortnightly and only have 6 DT's but once seeing the applications I just wante them all so I decided on 2 teams and have them do alternate weeks - hence now weekly challenges lol. My Design Teams are, I believe to be the most talented bunch of girles and I couldn't wish for any more.  Not only are they talented their love for creating shows though their work... kinda jumps out and grabs ya!!! There are not all that many rules for the challenges.

You can create whatever you like as long as it fits the theme for that week.  There will be one winner, 2 runners up and top fivers (a top five per hundred entries!) Lets hope we get above a hundred entries a week lol. You can enter up to 3 times per challenge.  Random thingy will not be in operation.  My talented ladies will be choosing their winners.  Winners will be posted on the Winners tab the wednesday following the challenge end.  Challenges run from Midday GMT on a Sunday until Midday GMT the following Saturday.

Anyway without further adieu here is my entry to kick it all off.  I altered a box with tin foil. I laid embellishments under the foil to give it a little bit of interest.  I painted over it with black acylic and sprayed with copper mist.  Quite a simple project really just a little messy lol.  I just love altered art and am trying to perfect my techniques.

Sorry for the overload of pics lol
Please pop on over to ECLECTIC ELLAPU and join in with the fun.  Hope to see you all there.

Forest Guardian - Sara Burrier

Hi everyone

Its challenge time over at Paper ala Mode, The Outlawz.

The challenge this week is 'Use what you don't'.  I have used an embossing folder, tiny roses and my wing diecuts that have not seen light of day for the past 6 months if not more.  Really I ought to have a rummage more often instead of keep buying lol.

The image is by Sara Burrier called Forest Guardian.  I coloured it up using my prisma pencils.  I used alot of copper and gold mist on the backing die cuts which I have to tell you are from the new range of spellbinders.  My friend Paula owns them and she came to stay at mine last night.  We spent the entire evening die cutting and sharing the dies.  It was an excellent evening but both ended up with back ache not to mention the arm ache lol.

Now why don't you head on over and join the fun at Paper ala Mode.  It is a fun challenge and you will get to use up old stash you forgot you owned lol.

Bye for now and hugz and love to all.

Tag Wallet

Good early morning to you all

Tonight I decided to make another Xmas prezzie for a friend of mine.  I cut out 12 kraft pockets using a TH die, cut the flap off the top and assembled them.  I then covered them in scraps of K&Co paper (not really visible) and stuck them together.  I stuck on a front and back cover and attached ribbon to the front.  Inside each pocket I stamped using a chandelier image using different colours and clear embossing powder.  I then sprayed with silver and gold.  I used vintage photo distress ink all round the edges to make it look vintage.

Not much to say really as the pics say all that is needed to be said.  I am relieved I have finished one more gift though lol.

Well thats it for me tonight.....

Just a quick reminder.. My new challenge blog goes live on Sunday 14th October at 12 Midday GMT London.  Please call on over to ECLECTIC ELLAPU and join in with the fun.  We would love to see you there!

Lovey Dovey Sihouette - Delicious Doodles

Hey everyone

Today I am posting my DT inspiration for the current challenge over at Creative Card Crew.  The theme this fortnight is Birds and is being sponsored by the ever generous Simon Says Stamp with a $20 gift certificate for the lucky winner.

The image I used is Lovey Dovey and as luck would have it needed no colouring at all.  I did use glossy accents on the birds trhough to give them dimension and to make them pop!.. I used a Cheery Lyn die for the frame.  I found the sentiment ribbon in my stash which I feel is perfect for the image.I found a white bow trim and decided to alter it a little but rubbing black ink over it.  i just can't help myself when it comes to altering stuff LOL.  I wound it round the frame to give it a bit of ummmph!!

Well thats it for now and I hope you enjoyed visiting me.  I do hope so!...

It would be great if you could pop over to CCC to join in the fun.  You never know you may win!

Shabby Chic

Hey everyone

This week the challenge over at Paper ala Mode, The Outlawz is a project entitled ''Thinking of You'' and to say who you are thing of.  Well I made this card for a colleague at work sent collectively from their unit.

The image came from the Graphics Fairy.  I know it is unusual for me to use a ready prepared image but it made a change for me.  I covered it in Rock Candy to give it a fine crackle look.  I used a frame die, painted it with white acrylic paint and used RC on that also.

The backing paper is from Raspberry Road however unable to see it as so much on the card lol.

I coloured the vine ribbon using aged mahogany distress ink and wound it round my tiny bouquet I put together using flowers and pearls from my stash.

The sentiment I stamped twice, giving a shadow effect, onto another die cut, stained lightly with the ink again.

I used two tiny die cuts and arranged them into a heart shape and placed a heart gem from my stash at the bottom.

I placed a medium size doily behind the image and tore up a tiny doily and placed behind my painted bottle capped picture.

The metal corners are from my stash.  I painted them and then embossed the red stain on top.  However not very noticeable. There is also a small piece of sprayed muslin behind the image which has also got lost in the frenzy!

Mental note for next time... don't bother LOL.

Did I mention that all the peals, lace and gems are from my stash.. well I have now!  The leaves are from a spellbiders die.  Every embellishment was sprayed lightly with gold for the agedlook.

Anyway here are the pics, overloaded I might add.

Thats it from me for now.  Hope to see you all joining in with the challenges over at The Outlawz... you know you want to!

Hope you like it.
