New challenge

over at Crafty Ribbons this week and the theme is Anything Goes with ribbon.  I have chosen to make a heart for a happy couple on their wedding day - this could be used instead of a card or even for a bride to carry with her bouquet.

I had fun putting this together because part of my DT package from Ali (Crafty Ribbons) were lots of the latest ribbons and boy did I use them lol.  I used a heart from Fernli Designs and painted it with pink chalk paint.  I then covered the heart with some remnants of lace from my stash - I made the flower from the same lace with a flatback pearl and a pearl spray.  I cut the ribbons to hang from the heart, on the heart and made little tags comig osut from the flower.  I found in my stash some pink pearl string to edge the ribbon on the heart front.

Thats it folks all complete and waiting for a bride to use it lol......Why not head on over to Crafty Ribbons and join in with the fun - will be good to see you there

Yes you shall go to the ball......

I have had this dressform hanging about for quite a while and it started to scream at me.  I was unsure as to what style I was heading for until I saw all my bridal lace and materials begging to be used.  All I am going to do with this post is show the different stages - there are a few so please do not get bored lol.  As you will see this was a long process with many layers of skirts lol

Please excuse the kitchen background - it was the only place I could photograph it where there was enough room. The dressform is 16 inches tall so it is pretty big!

Thank you for visiting today and please feel free to pop over again

Basket and mini hat = Memory box

My oh my - yes another hat lol.  Actually I have used it in a totally different way than normal.  I used it as a lid to a basket I bought from a car boot sale.  The theme over at Eclectic Ellapu this time is Travel (Reis) and or Anything goes.  Once this challenge is finished we will be going monthly on the 1st of every month.  This coincides with Altered Eclectics - makes it easier for everyone.

I have put together a memory box for vacations to keep items such as tickets. corks from bottles anything you wish to keep as a memory really.....Here are the pieces I used - I will then list all products I used and then the pics of finished item.

Products used

pink chalk paint
postcard serviette - modpodged onto backet and lid
cream lace
cream satiny fabric for inside
4 crochet butterflies and flower made all by my self lol
tiny wooden letters painted in silver acrylic paint

Just a couple of hats

This will be a quickie post.  I m making bits and bobs for a stall for a school fete where my mate works.  The idea is to make small items for the kiddies to spend their pocket money on for their mums (if they so wish lol).  So I have decorated 2 small hats so far using up oddments up from my stash bag.  The hats are 5inches wide so not taking an awful lot of decorating.  Funds made will be used for he school.  I will be making bookmarks.keyrings and such like so watch this space lol.

Just a quickie........

As you can see from previous post I have been crocheting butterflies and now have so many I thought I best use a couple and what better to put them on ... one of the millions of hats I have bought in lol.

I used

white acrylic paint
simple hand made flower
some appliques I cut from a wedding dress hem
silk ribbon
cream braid
and of course 2 of my butterflies

Thats it - quite a quick and simple project.

Now for the pics

Here are my little cherubs kicking back and relaxing with bedtime TV lol

And here is Bluebell on day release for good behaviour

and then she mucks it up and tries to make run for it - her                                            pen is on its way lol

Thats it from me tonight

Just a few pics.....

Hello all

I have been crocheting butterflies and adding stamens as feelers.  I really enjoy making these so when I have overload of them I might have to sell them but unsure as to how much.  Will have to have a ponder on that.  I also bought another 50 hats to decorate - god only knows why lol - an impulse buy shall we say lol.  Lets hope I am able to sell them once decorated lol.

My daughter and my twin grandchildren are here for a few days so took a couple of pics to add on here. They are growing so fast.

I have an addition to the family as well  - I bought a lionhead wabbit and her name is Bluebell - such a little darling too.  I might add 'the grump' after Bluebell lol

Anyway thats it for me today I am off to beddy byes shortly as knackered lol

Altered Straw Hat

Hello people of blog world

Today I have for you an altered straw hat as my DT entry for CRAFTY RIBBONS challenge of ANYTHING GOES WITH RIBBON this week.  I will just list the items used.

Original hat

Painted hat

Hat covered in bridal lace the top caved in with paint but pushed it back into shape lol

I used lots of my hand made flowers (no shop bought ones on this beauty lol) and Bridal lace from my wedding dress (the hem). The velvet ric rac trim and cream silk ribbon are from CRAFTY RIBBONS.  A lot of stringed pearls (old necklace recycled) , tiny pearl string and 3 large marabou feathers.

I do hope you like the copious amount of pics - SORRY X

Once again I do apologise for the overload of pics but I just could not make my mind up which ones to choose for showing lol.

Anyway I do hope you have enjoyed your visit today and I hope I have inspired you all to join in with the current challenge over at CRAFTY RIBBONS this week.

You have to be innit to winnit!
